Well my input was just based from experience on same model(2007 fit). After a series of revving up and down then driving it around, I experienced the same behavior. I thought it would be helpful as this site has helped me a lot in my DIY. Degrading other inputs shouldn't be allowed as well! Sorry for my inappropriate comment, I just did as a reply to a rude comment.

What you experienced is called surging, as the ECU tries to "correct" an idle speed by closing throttle plate (if your car has drive by wire) or by cutting fuel injection pulse.
