Drive shaft too long! HELP!

Hey Fellas,

Putting the Fit back together after control arm, wheel bearing replacement. Drivers side went well, passenger side not so much. I am not able to align the ball joint due to the drive shaft seeming to be too long. After hours of rotating and trying to get the thing back to normal still having no luck here. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the forum and I searched drive shaft axle related issues. Someone mentioned there are threads posted about this issue under the "suspension section."
Thank you!

When you took it all apart, did you accidentally pull the inboard CV joint apart internally?

You will either need to manipulate its rollers back into their slots by squeezing them through the rubber boot, or take it apart to figure out how to get the rollers back into their slots, or replace the axle.

Or, perhaps, the intermediate shaft bearing came out from the bracket a bit?
Pictures please!!...

I nearly had an anxiety attack when that happened while I was helping another Texas Freak install coilovers on her Fit. Ten seconds or so later all was well..
