2008 Fit - Radio Install wiring
Guys,
I just installed a new radio in my 2008 Honda Fit (Base Model) and I've ran into a few snags.
1) The first is the wire labeled Reverse Gear Signal. I already wired up a rear game to the reverse lights at the rear of the car but did not think forward enough to run another cable from that to the Reverse Gear wiring in the harness for the Pioneer radio. Where exactly can I find the rear wire to tie into in the front of the car so the radio automatically switches to the camera when put in reverse.
2) I'm getting pretty bad reception with the antenna now which I'm fine with but the sound drops and rising constantly and drives me crazy. Not a speaker issue as music from bluetooth/aux/cd plays fine. The antenna harness has a blue wire along with it and from what I understand it is to power an amp which I do not believe my model has so I just taped it off. Some other threads have mentioned wiring it up to the 12v power (red) wire has helped them but I've not seen any concrete information about it. Any thoughts or a direction would be amazing.

Antenna on the roof DOES have an amplifier and it needs hooked up.
The antenna harness needs to have 12v+ applied to the (separate) black wire when the radio turns on. You can probably use the radios remote amp turn on wire for it.
Reverse wiring.....there is a back up light relay in the dash fusebox, it applies 12v+ to B9 (green-black) when reverse is selected.
That should be in one of the harnesses that runs through the drivers kick panel to the rear of the car. Beware if you go looking in a wire bundle, there could be more than one wire with those colors so make sure you have the correct circuit before making connections.
