Anyone run these? The car probably needs front and rear everything anyway. I can't find Excel G's under about $90/ea. Add on rear shocks and whatever hardware, like mounts and bellows.. might be close to this cost if I price it out.

It'd be nice if they weren't anodized that color tho, lol

Save your money. Excel G’s are nothing special either.

Nothing wrong with pink.

But those are pieces of trash.

I've been where you are at...trying to figure out a viable suspension solution for a worn out GD. After spending too many hours pouring through old threads and looking at all of the options, I've come to the following personal conclusions...

Run stock replacement stuff like KYB - it will be...well new stock
Run Tokico HTS with swift springs - it will be better than stock, but not cheap for what you get.
Run the full Mugen kit - it will be better than stock, but waaay not cheap for what you get.

Or try BC Racing coilovers with the DR upgrade - this will be my route, but I can't recommend it yet because I don't have first hand experience. Based on other platforms, the BC's WITH the DR upgrade satisfy most people, but they still aren't great.

BC's would be nice, but that cost tho. The experience is much appreciated. I'm not out to waste money for sure, and those suggestions look sound. I'll try to check the second option there, see how much it might be.

Good luck! I'm always open to other ideas as well.

I think our window of opportunity for good options is shrinking for the GD Fits. I'm used to domestics where aftermarket stuff gets better with age. Sadly I've watched our market shrink since 2008.

Just went through this in October/November. Im running HTS and Progress Springs. Im pleased with the result. Needed to take some time shopping around but I did find what I consider good prices.

Here's what I paid. If you can get the front struts from K-Series, buy them separately, the pair is $300 more for some reason. Also budget yourself an extra $150 for Strut Mounts and Sway Bar Links.
