08 Honda Fit ECO gearing swap

Hello all,

Thought I'd post up a thread on GDs from a site I kinda follow. I don't really find that much on Fits on their site. So hope you enjoy.

That was an interesting read! Cool to see someone using a Fit and experimenting like that. I will stay tuned.

Love the idea!

Not so much for economical reasons, but just better driveability. Our Fit replaced a 1995 Civic lx. It's gear ratios were much better for all around use and was more relaxing.

Looking over part numbers, I'm not sure what all it would require. Both have the same mainshaft, so I wonder if it would be possible to just change the final drive gear? It's $168 new from Honda.
