and k series transmission will bolt on to any k series motor. so k24 and k20 parts are interchangeable just like b series motors and transmissions.

When I took a trip up to Saitama to visit GarageFK, the shop here in Japan that has done a K20 into a GE. I was curious as to the cost, for shits and giggles. It didn't make me giggle, but did make me want to shit a big OHHHHH DAMMMNNNNNN!!! I was told anywhere from 3 to 5 million yen...current exchange anywhere from 33~55,000 US$. This included everything and not having a motor, tranny and ECU already in possession. Lots of work to the chassis, but was assured if it was done it would be street legal and able to pass shaken (safety inspection every 2 years).

That price though just cemented that I will most likely go for a used NA2 for the next fun Honda and keep the Fit as is currently.

Nice try

just traded my 2007 SI in for my 2010 FIT Sport, nice try. Take off the cover and take a picture. You would need a shoe horn to put that K20 in that bay.

There are already a few K's in GE's, and most say the GE will be easier than the GD.

HI Guys, here in Thailand the K20 swap for the Fit is quite a popular option and has been done many times over. I will see if i can get some info for you from the guys that did my supercharger installation on my Honda City as i know that they have done a few conversions already. And yes it is tight but can be done. let me see what i acn find out for you.

$33-55k....couldn't you find someone to do a mid-engine layout for that kind of money and its minus the motor, trans and ECU I may be new to Honda and all, but that's crazy but I'm sure if we've got some lotto winners here though, someone will do it. I think if your going to spend that much though, go all the way with mid-engine and RWD and make a "Japanese 205"

From what I have heard the CRZ and GE use the same Hasport mounts... Really, mounts are the only thing that suck minus ecu/wiring...

We are thinking about doing one here in house. May even try and keep the DBW accessible. So basically a full K20z3 swap from a 06-11 Si.

"Trying?"

What have you done already that you could justify as to say you are "trying?"

Any info you could share would be very helpful to me.

Im just "trying" to get all the info i need in order to do it as in where to cut, what type motor would be best to supercharge and still fit under the hood, who to get the ecu from thats the good brand, axles that need to be used, and so forth.

I mean like what kind of info do you have so far?

What are you going to use for engine management? I'm very interested in this also.
