Axle back is just the muffler.
Carback is everything after the cat meaning the midpipe and the muffler.

I would wait till it rusts and you have to replace it and get a good magnaflow stainless steel cat back exhaust and that will be the last time you will have to mess with the exhaust and the magnaflow don't sound like a tin can.

our other car came the mazda 3 came with a stainless steel exhaust so hopefully we will never have to replace the exhaust. some other manufactures are doing it too like gm. wish honda would start doing it.

I ordered a HKS hi power like 2 weeks ago. Evidently hey are Back Ordered til at least 1st week September.

Might as well wait, unless someone else has them in stock.

lol, he's from cypress, california. his exhaust is not going to rust.

it's up to you man, some people like the sound and attention that comes with a loud aftermarket exhaust, while other have outgrown it and don't enjoy increased attention from cops and the general public.

the hks axleback is a pretty quiet exhaust for aftermarket exhaust standards. it doesn't drone at cruising rpm so you shouldn't get too sick of it.

also, axleback refers to the exhaust replacing a portion from the axle-back. which in the case of the honda fit, is just the muffler and a little bit of piping. cat means the catalytic converter and back. like fitting said, i just don't know if you know that "Cat" is short for catalytic converter.

loudness isn't what is desired sound quality is what you want

I have a magnaflow RACE muffler on my car and it's quieter than my friends stock buick century haha

tanabe only makes axle backs, as do most manufacturers.

companies /w catbacks, skunk2, dc sports, invidia, buddy club (i think) there are more but those are all i can think of off the top of my head right now
