"Soft" clutch?

I'm not sure this is the right sub-forum to post this, but anyhow...

Does anyone else find the clutch in their GE8 is a bit... soft? It feels like it's slipping. Is this an intentional "feature" from Honda to make it easier to drive smoothly, or could my brand-new clutch be defective?

there is a box that help add power to the clutch and it hold presure in them so the clutch could be pressed in by any1, my 240 had it and one of the best mods was to rip that thing out...

does any1 kno how to do that for the ge8?

It's called a clutch delay valve and it doesn't "help add power." It slows and smoothes out clutch engagement to make the car easier to drive/more manageable by the average person. Nobody on this board has posted that they have removed it yet.

I know this thread is a little old now, but I was wondering about something similar..

Sometimes when putting the car into reverse, it takes a couple of goes to get it fully engaged, it happened to me the first day I had the car, and I almost rolled into an M3!

bump.

saw the GD thread - anyone done it on a GE8?

Somehow I must have adapted to it because I haven't noticed it at all since I can't remember when. I seem to remember it being a problem early on though.
