CAI's for A/T?

I love the Takeda but it seems as though it won't fit ...would love to know why.

So...what CAI's do fit an A/T GE8? I'm open to short rams as well...if that helps.

Thanks!

lowkeymods- i do not know where i read this on the forum or internet, but i got the thought that the injen cai would only fir the MT. i checked the website and it does not say so i emailed them. this is what i got:

Yes our intake system fits both auto and manual. We route the intake pipe totally different from the other manufactures, that’s why ours fits both manual and auto.

i guess the main beef with this intake is that we have to remove the front bumper to install... it's not really a big deal for me since i have done a cold air install on my old s2000. although one does not need to remove the bumper, there is a little custom cutting and removing of underpanels... as long as there's no cutting for the fit install, removing the front bumper cant be that tedious, i can be wrong though.

Removing the front bumper is not fun. I installed my Injen intake a few months back on a Saturday and I was hesitant with the bumper. Getting the first clip undone underneath the headlight is the worst. Then just pull and pry. I got mine off with almost no damage. Super small scratch from a screwdriver I used to get the first cli undone. Good luck!

Takeda

I installed the Takeda CAI on my A/T fit, just nudged the battery a bit to the side, it fits perfectly, you just have to remove the driver side undercover to install the filter.

Thanks! Do you have to leave the undercover off? BTW why the difference in install between the A/T and M/T?

No, everything fits back into the stock location. The difference between the two is that the automatic transmission takes up much more space in the engine bay. It fit very well in mine and gave decent porwer gains, will post dyno and pics when I get a chance.
