Window visor

Im planning to buy a window visor for my fit and im leaning towards these two and wondering if anyone has either one

Fit 09 10 11 JDM VENT SHADE WINDOW CLIP-ON VISOR GUARD | eBay

and

Discount Honda and Acura parts and accessories - OEM Acura Parts
Also for those who bought from the second link, can you tell me the difference between Sayama plant and Suzuka plant?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated :]

When I bought my Honda I had no idea where it had been made. I found out afterwards that by googling Honda VIN Wikipedia and then matching my Fit`s Vehicle Identification Number I could easily tell where it was made. The plante where my Fit was assembled is in the VIN.(and a whole lot of other stuff)

As for the Visors, Are they not available from your dealer? The dealer parts are sometimes a bit expensive I agree. But if you do your own install (easy with visors) you can save a lot.

I don't trust eBay unless someone else on this site can vouch for the product and vendor.

I believe all visors sold by Honda for your Fit (2009+) will work it all the models regardless of where it was made.

As well it looks like the Honda site pricing is for individual pieces. They can be bought from Honda as a kit for much much less. If you call Honda they will quote you and installed price. Ask for just the kit.

Just go for the OEM one. That way you don't have to deal with possible fitment errors or anything of that nature. I have the OEM ones and I've never thought twice about them (besides for a set of Mugens...) As far as the plant goes, it doesn't matter. Just determines where the car was made.

My suggestion is to NEVER pay to have visors installed. Do it yourself. For another on-line visor source, check out any on-line Honda dealer. OEM kits should run around $50.00. Call your local Honda dealer and tell the parts dept. that you are looking on the Internet, and I'll bet they will offer a set for around $50.00 from stock.

I have installed three sets of visors. Strongest advice- park your Fit on a dark colored tarp. DO NOT install visors on asphalt. You WILL drop parts, and they WILL disappear. Install ALL of the metal clips with the pins BEFORE you attach visors to the car. Rotate the clips away from the door frame to start, position the visors properly with the 3M tape, and THEN use needle nose pliers to rotate the clips up to hold onto the door edges.

Yep, that's where I got my last set too. But shipping is the killer from College Hills. Try to use the on-line dealer prices to get your local dealer to give you a reasonable price.

Seems pretty standard to me. The window visors for the Fit are dirt cheap anyways.

Have you ever considered the Mugen visors for the Fit as well?

If so, you can always, request a quote from us.

A&J Racing :: Exterior :: Door Visors :: Mugen Door Visors - Honda Fit 09 (GE8)

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thanks.

I still like the factory OEM USDM visors. I installed these about 2 months ago and am very happy with them.

I agree. I think the OEM ones look better than the Mugen ones on a mostly stock car and they're the same price as the generic eBay ones that stick out. The OEM ones are nice because they have a low profile and flow together whereas the eBay ones don't come together at the pillar and bulge outward.
