Aries Floor Liners/Mats

I just received the Aries 3D Floor Liners for my 2013 Fit Base. It was a close decision between the Weathertech, Husky, and Aries mats. I was concerned about coverage (some people have complained that the Weathertech rear mat doesn't go far enough under the seats), so I called Aries and they were nice enough to measure the mats for me before I purchased them. After I put them in the car, I confirmed the back seat mat goes well under the front seats and also under the magic seats - I wanted mats with this extra coverage. Also, I personally feel they are the best looking/most upscale looking of the three brands of mats.

Here's the website: Aries Automotive - ARIES 3D FLOOR LINERS.

Here's the 2 Amazon links:

When I talked to the guy at Aries, he said the best way to get them is through Amazon (fulfilled by Amazon), they will be at other places down the line as they roll them out to other stores. They seem rugged while also looking refined, I'm very happy with them (they look even better in person than in photos). My only small complaint is the logo/emblem on each of the front mats is a little raised and is attached underneath with two flat rivets (there's no logo/emblem on the backseat mat), I know the other brands have logos that are more removable.

The underside of the mats have a very good anti-skid surface (info on website). And, unlike a lot of new products I've purchased, there isn't a toxic/chemical smell to them.

I'll take pictures of the mats and post them tomorrow.

Those look great!:D

CrazyPieGuy 10-15-2012 01:50 AM

Those look quite nice. I wish I could afford some.

PinoyBoy 10-15-2012 05:35 AM

Great pictures. Great review. These looks so much better and lower priced than the Weather Techs.

Are Aries good products?
Are there any gaps in the edges that Weather Techs are notorious for?
Are those the gray or black ones?

Sorry for the questions, and thanks again.

sooznd 10-15-2012 10:03 AM

Wow, I really like how the rear covers so much of the floor area. I have weathertechs in the front, but they sure tend to get dirty fast and do not clean up nicely. I kept my Oem Honda all weathers for the rear.
How did you find them?

fujisawa 10-15-2012 10:58 AM

Interesting, looks like the first decent competitor to Weathertech. I bet they won't be as durable, but they definitely seem to fit better and look nicer - especially in the rear. I don't use rear mats but if you have kids they would be very desirable.

Wafulz 10-15-2012 01:18 PM

Nice Look clean

x_25 10-15-2012 01:40 PM

Cool. The rear mat definetly covers more area than the weathertechs (which I have). That said, I hardly ever have anyone in the back.

I was searching for the best price for Husky liners when I stumbled upon a smaller site (I forget which one) that carried the Aries 3D liners. After that, I called the manufacturer to find out the measurements and the best place to buy them.

I only wish Aries made a cargo mat for the Fit, I ended up getting Husky for the cargo area.

I found the thread here with info from College Hills for the Accord version and watched the video
.

Also, I saw a lot of positive reviews on multiple websites for non-Fit versions of their mats.

I purchased the black ones, the texture might make them look lighter in the photos. They are a close match to the black carpet; maybe only slightly lighter than the carpet.

They seem good around the edges. I only have one slight gap on the right side of the driver's mat below the gas pedal (that may be from their original mold).

Here are some close-ups of the edges:

Also, I just checked my Amazon links and noticed price changes since I bought these on Oct. 9, 2012.

Aries 3D Floor Liner - 2 Piece Front (Black):
On 10/9/2012 I paid: $75.77 + Free Shipping
Current Price 10/29/2012: $95.94 + Free Shipping

Aries 3D Floor Liner - 1 Piece Rear (Black):
On 10/9/2012 I paid: $60.68 + Free Shipping

kenchan 10-29-2012 10:24 AM

damn, i should've gotten this set instead of my factory one. :( :D hahahaha.

is the material like a fiber/composite or more like rubber? i might still order even just the front ones.

ThEvil0nE 10-29-2012 12:19 PM

I'm liking this a whole lot!

kenchan 10-29-2012 12:42 PM

yah, the only thing missing is coverage for the center hump under the dash where your right foot might rest while cruising.

E_Honda 10-29-2012 01:03 PM

sexy. thats a great find.

burrito 11-04-2012 07:15 PM

I have the own rubber mats and they suck. The passenger mat always moves and there's gaps on all the mats.

Look almost identical to my Husky Liners WeatherBeater™ Floor Liners. And my rear seat one has the same coverage. And I got both front and rear for $106.17 with free shipping at Carid.com. Plus they make one for the cargo area too. They also have a lifetime warranty against cracking and breaking.

xTravisxEdgex 11-05-2012 01:58 PM

damn. nice find for sure. these look crazy nice!

kenchan 11-05-2012 03:27 PM

carid sucks. buy elsewhere.

I did the same thing with mine. I figure no one really sits out back and the weathertechs don't collect dirt like the oem ones do. I'll eventually invest in the rear weathertechs to match the front.

roqiin_kimmi 11-22-2012 02:27 PM

Awesome find, and thanks for the suggestions - I bought myself both Aries liners :) I should get them in the mail soon, and will take pictures !

Sapper 12-10-2012 04:12 PM

When I click the 2013 Honda Fit in Amazon's drop down menu it warns me that the mats DO NOT fit my car...

Amazon is wrong perhaps?

Sapper 12-10-2012 04:15 PM

Do you think that Aries label peels off the front mats easily?

I am very glad I stumbled across this as I was about to put the OEM all weather mats on my Christmas list

roqiin_kimmi 12-10-2012 04:58 PM

I just purchased the same mats from AMAZON and they in fact do fit my 2013 Honda Fit Sport model.. just like the original poster advised (as he too has a 2013 honda fit sport model), there is one small gap in the driver's side mat on the right side, but it is not really noticeable just like example picture the original poster posted.

Love the mats- they look better than the weathertechs in my opinion. I'll take some pictures of how mine look installed later.

Click for previous years like 09 for instance and I bet it'll come up, they're the same ones, just don't go any lower than 09. ;)

BlueRaspberryFit 12-10-2012 09:01 PM

Dammit now I want these mats! They really do look good and cover more!

SieGunso 12-10-2012 09:16 PM

i feel like trading my husky's up for a set of these now haha

You may have missed in my original post...the Aries labels on the front mats are attached underneath by two flat rivets. So no, it wouldn't be easy to get them off.

2012FitFan 12-14-2012 09:13 AM

Tk3 great find! Thank you for the post, pics and detailed review! :wavey:

I've been going back and forth looking at the the weathertech's and weatherbeater's, but these look super sharp. I'm leaning towards the Aries liners now.

theultrachung 01-20-2013 12:49 AM

dampens sound?

These look great! have you noticed if these help dampen sound any when you have them on? or is it really not that noticeable?

Co-enan 01-20-2013 07:05 PM

I have the same mats in my fit and, my wife has the Weathertech liners in her fiat. Not sure which ones I like more. I like the look and, feel of the Aries mats but, The overall quality of the Material used for the Weathertechs seems more durable. As for fit they both have small flaws.

2012FitFan 02-18-2013 07:14 PM

I ordered a set of the 3D liners today. The same as the Aries liners, but getting them straight from the manufacturer U-Ace through an online authorized dealer. The same liners without the Aries branding on them. I'll post up some pics after install.

Would you mind explaining what you did? I am very interested in these floor mats and you seem to be on to something, I just can't make heads or tails of the website you linked.
