Take out the Plastic Cover underneath the steering wheel:

Unplug two socket (Yellow and Black):

Using Torx T30, open the two bolt that hold the airbag.
There is opening on left and right side of steering wheel to access this bolt:

Take the SRS AirBag Unit out:

Disconnect the main wiring socket (blue):

Use Socket Wrench 14mm, remove the main bolt:

Pull out the steering wheel, shake it, wiggle it, pull it until it is off:

Take out the rear plastic panel and then start taking out all the screws
and remove all the plastic panel, wiring, switch etc to the J's Racing Steering Wheel:

Once all the parts moved to the J's Racing Steering wheel,
it will look like this:

Install the steering wheel back,
tighten the main bolt using torque wrench at 39nm (but I use 40nm)

Connect all the wiring, and the air bag, and tighten the two Torx T-30 bolt
to 10nm, oh, and Honda told to discard this bolt, but I reuse them
and apply Loctite:

Got mines in the other day. Just wanted to clarify on something:

When removing the rear plastic panel and transferring the guts, are they just held in by the screws?

Any any link to the CF trim? Thanks for the write up!

Yes, the rear plastic panel and other stuff just hold by some screws,
easy

The Carbon Fiber Trims are from eBay,

is it wrong of me to want the identical wheel without the bling of the cf and yellow stitching,

It do not have the carbon fiber part, only leather,
but it still have red stitching with large logo of J's Racing
