Battery Tip
Battery Tip
I recently replaced the battery in our 2009 Honda Fit Sport. The previous one had been in since 2013. This battery was a replacement that the dealer (Honda) put in. I neglected to keep an eye on it and it built up some corrosion and wouldn't start. The replacement we have now is an Interstate.
Shortly after replacing the battery, I noticed something else that appeared to have changed. For the past couple of years whenever we drove away, the auto door locks would keep clicking for several seconds before settling down. After replacing the battery the auto door clocks appear to be working fine. My thought is that the older battery must have dropped to such a level that it could no longer work the auto door locks properly.
Just something I thought I would pass along to the group.

I clean battery terminals, major grounds, and major positive connections every few years. That can extend live of battery, alternator, starter. Also prevents some odd low voltage electrical issues from cropping up.
