Tie down underneath the Fit
Tie down underneath the Fit
I will be pulling my Fit behind a motorhome on a dolly. I want to install a safety chain aside from the front wheels straps. The service manual mention two loops under the car in the front and also the same in the back to hook a chain. Does anyone has a picture of what these loops look like? I found two loop like in the front but not sure if these are the ones to secure chains. Could not find the ones in the rear. A picture would be great.

Those are not the tow hooks that are in the front and rear bumpers that you screw in after removing the plastic cover. And there is only one in front and one in back. In the service manual, page 1-9, it shows 2 tie down hook slots in the front next to where you would put the jack to lift the car and same in the back right in front of the rear wheels. I found what I think is the slots (although they do not look like slots to me) but opening large enough to put a hook for tie down in the front but not the ones in the rear. I just wanted to make sure what I found is the correct place to put safety chains while traveling. Don't want to risk damaging something. Hopefully, someone on this board pull his Fit on a dolly and may be able to clarify for me.
But the locations in the link I put are the actual chain down points used during shipping.
So, your choice.
