A/C not working - 2009 Sport Fit
Hello,
So my A/C stopped working. When I turn it on, I think I can hear the compressor running (it's like there's more noise as soon as I hit the A/C button and the noise goes off when I turn it off).
Does it mean that I only need a recharge? I don't have tools to measure the pressure. I can't tell.
and if it need a recharge, does it mean there's a leak somewhere?
Best,

Best,
My '09 stopped blowing cold air several years ago, perhaps when it was about 5 years old. I got a recharge kit from an auto parts store and found that the pressure was low. The recharge was easy. And, it has not needed any attention since. So, yes, your refrigerant might be low and based on my experience there may not be a leak. The DIY recharge is very easy and at $30 or so it's worth a try before you pay a mechanic much more to look at the A/C.
