Hi all fitters. Weird question but i went to exhaust shop for mid sport exhaust just a rear end. And because it was too quiet they said no point to install silencer/ muffler. Anyway long story short i think it's too loud. Would 3" tail pipe make it quiter or anyone can think of other cheaper way. I looked at the baffles but don't want to drill in exhaust. P. S. Resonator is still in place and garage offered to weld in... in the exhaust silencer but i don't want to pay 90£ more. Weird situation with garage...
Regards to all

I played with this on multiple cars, big butt tail pipes are the simplest, silliest most basic thing that just enhances drone, unwanted noise. If you want your car to be audible for miles and miles its a great way to hit those frequencies but literally by itself the tip size, even if end chamber is only few inches (expansion point beyond rest of exhaust) it just ruins everything.
Yes reducing size would help, 1.75-2.00 should be your goal if you really like massive exhaust tips find something close to that but with mostly just exhaust exit size not expanded but the cuff is really massive, for similar look without horrible noises.

To be fair it's not droning only when you really floor it... When they installed tip it was on the ramp and didn't look so massive but now i already got used to it and love it.
