came into a weird scenario with my battle wagon, 2012 Fit, 250,000k

The car had a crappy after market stereo installed prior to me owning it years back. But it came with the original. So I installed it recently knowing I’d need the code. So I did the process- pressing the buttons which gave me a serial number. (21000062) so I give that to the dealer and they give me a code (27300) which I can’t input because the only buttons are 1-6 !

call back and they tell me that serial number is for a Honda Odyssey… how does that make sense ? The radio that is for the fit being for a odyssey?

makes no sense to me, I’ve also searched the whole ca for the sticker with the numbers to no luck.

Has anyone heard of this problem before ? Maybe the stock stereo wasn’t with the original ?

any ides would be a help !
