Why fuel trim does not go to positive values?
Why fuel trim does not go to positive values?
I use torque to read engine parameters while driving.
When I look at short term fuel trims, I never, never see it showing positive values, but only negative (from zero to minus 20). What is wrong whit this? Why it never goes to positive values but stops at zero? Am I the only one?
Car is 2012 1.2 vtec 12B2 engine 300k km.

Do not trust something like Torque for accurately reading OBD data. It reads generic data and it's not always interpreted correctly. Years ago I used torque for grins and giggles and it was reading erroneous data, data that wasn't plausible.
If you want accurate OBD data you want something that reads OEM data, not generic OBD data.

Today I cleaned the intake manifold (metallic part) and found her ducts were completely clogged with deposits.
Now if I stump on the accelerator, I can read positive values even on Torque. I do not fully understand the mechanisms, but that's the way it went.
