Shouldn't you have asked for this a few days, weeks or months ago? The Christmas sale is still on but ouch, pretty pricey
Merry Christmas

These come recommended by this guy. I haven't looked too deep into his courses, but he seems to be serious about evidence-based diagnostics. I certainly don't have the means to argue, but it's a bit over my head. Autel certainly is among the recommended scanners.

Oh, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!!

Hondas are standard enough that most scanners handle them, honda didn't screw over the repair industry by getting tricky like some makes..

Depending on your needs, this littel gizmo is kinda fun.. I put one in my daughters fit and its handy as it allows you to set alarms
for some of the data, like engine temp... I used the standard one. I put it on the dash on the drivers side down sort of towards the little wedge window.

You can also get the "Torque" app and use a mini tablet for a "glass dash" to show the stuff you might care about... Including some data logging.

@dwtaylorpdx Thanks for that info. Maybe that one is like the ScanGauge product that was so popular at one time (?).

My interest in Autel is that is can run diagnostics — a very thorough checklist. At least this is what I (believe) I saw on Scotty Kilmer's YouTube. However, it may be overkill for our Fits. I have to learn more.

This scan tool video was informative for me. Maybe you guys already know this stuff, but I did not.

Its similar but its smaller and kinda hides in plain site on the dash.. It was an easy way to get a water temp alarm so my daughter wold know if it over heated (3rd fit we owned,, had a 2014 Fit EV, a 2007 Sport GD, now a 2010 Base. It also shows very accurate voltage on the charging system, and it calculates oil change intervals, based on your preferences.. Well worth the 86 bucks or so, and it will also clear codes.. .
