2010 Complete MT Engine Interchange
2010 Complete MT Engine Interchange
Hello Folks;
Well, after just about 297k relatively trouble-free miles, my 2010 manual trans Fit has developed a knock. I've ruled out any serpentine belt driven components by removing it and starting the engine. There's what sounds like a slight rod knock which coincides with RPM. No difference noticed under load or not, cold or hot, and it sure doesn't sound like piston slap, and no it's not the ever-so-common loose spark plug(s) either. Dipstick level is at midpoint and has never exhibited any significant consumption from when it was purchased new. Question: I'll be looking for a used, hopefully low mile replacement engine. To those well versed in these details. Which unit from 2010 onward fits with no Tom Foolery required - or just a straight plug-n-play?
Thank you so very much for your educated replies. Regards, Jozef.
