Hey everyone this is my 2009 Fit Sport, I recently picked it up and it came with a pretty crappy K&N Hot air intake, I was wondering if any of you can recommend (with links) what intakes I can currently buy in Canada. Thank you
Unfortunately these cars don't get the kind of love the Civic's, Prelude's and others do. There's not many options I think mostly due to packaging constraints and the sensors on the intake don't like it being messed with. IF someone came up with a solution that would solve the sensor issues it would open some pathways... That said IF you have a 3D printer that will actually print high heat plastics like PET, then... with a lot of fiddling you might can make your own air box that draws air from where you want, something like the wheel well maybe since that's under positive air pressure at highway speeds, and through whatever filter you decide to go with... thing is you have to do all the CAD work, and all.
I have a printer and can print PET, and I have Fusion 360 and can do CAD, but I don't have the time or desire to dive into all that right now. In the middle of changing careers which will take all my time so I'm enjoying the little bit of family time before that happens.

Good luck.
Thank you so much! I guess I’ll just clean up the filter it has now and possibly go with the RM intake fog light housing and draw air from there.
Check out Unequal Fabrication. He has many variations of different intakes for our cars. He is an amazing machinist who builds quality stuff. I'm pretty sure none of his intakes throw a MAF code. He has designed them with the proper inner diameter for the MAF sensor. He also has a message about shipping internationally so guarantee he can get you one into Canada.

Thanks for this! I believe the car already is running a K&N System, and has a pretty OK firewall setup to keep the hot air out. This does give me some ideas for potentially 3d printing a more functional system.
