Pretty sure Watanabes (wanna-bes?) are knockoffs of the original Minilite wheel used on racing Mini Coopers back in the '60's.

RS Watanabe Eight-Spoke F8 (cast magnesium) wheels in 14 x 6 only weigh about 8 lbs.
of course there are dangers to using any magnesium wheels.

Panasport makes very similar wheels, both in street versions and ultralight race versions popular in autocrossing.

Yeah, i've seen these. i think they're not quite as light weight as the re watanabes, but they're usually a litlte cheaper than the watanabe mags.

if you're into rotas or konigs, they make copies too. rota RBs and konig rewinds.

Watanabes are olds school JDMs. Mini wheels are Minilites not watanabes. They used to use Watanbes are old Japanese race cars:

You right. refresh mode was one of the major reasons I bought a fit, I pretty much leave it like that cause nobody but females ride with me anyway, Plus I hang out in the street alot so if I am chillin then I am more than likely going to chill in the car I looking into a flip down dvd player with RCA jack to make better use of refresh mode. I also like yours I had a stick figure getting head from another stick figure that I photoshopped but I got a signature violation warning but I could email you it if you want to see it. I thought it was funny but others didnt
