What bulb does the 09 use for the headlight?
i just purchased an awesome 2009 fit sport and was goin to change my bulbs. I got my h11 bulbs for the foglights. when i tried to find the hb2 bulbs i had a hard time. The guy said it was the same as an h7 bulb but it isnt. the hb2 has 4 prongs but the h7 only has 2. i wanted the arctic purple. any help would be appreciated.
just FYI, the DRLs hardly shorten the bulb life or use much extra electricity. Filament bulb life goes up exponentially when the voltage is reduced even a bit, for DRLs, they're reduced about 50%, and can last practically forever. They're a valuable safety feature, and I don't understand why so many people disable them (for bixenon HIDs maybe, but that's a whole different story and you probably shouldn't do it because it may blind oncoming traffic and cause accidents).

The Little Amber one is called a wedge light and are pretty cheap. Looking at headlamp bulbs on an online retailer like amazon gave me little with searching for 9003 but got a ton of results when typing in H4.

On the internet, if you look hard enough, there's always a grassroots effort against some sort of mainstream idea. How about people against seatbelts because they might trap you after a car accident? or against airbags because they might deploy by accident.
The fact that Honda & Toyota has put DRLs in all their recent cars is a sign that they are worth it for safety. Others that don't, saves a few bucks on the PWM module on each car. I know even on a bright day, much less on overcast or slightly darker days, a car with DRL stands out from the corner of my eye and catchs my attention better than car without it. Sure it obscures cars that don't have it on. But if it came with our car, I'd rather just have it. Safer driving training and reminding people to turn on their lights during dim daytime conditions is just not effective because people are lazy/careless/clueless. Running DRLs probably uses less energy than changing the fan speed from 1 to 2 setting. Electricity is not the same as HP. I bet more people waste gas by leaving their vents in the front windshield setting (which turns on the AC compressor), and wasting more gas that way than any other electrical system could possibly use (except maybe the Fit's electric power steering, which seems to be a big motor that draws a lot of power when the car is slow).

The LED I show in the pic is on constantly it does not blink for turning. If you add LED to your turn signal light which is on the bottom I believe you have to. That is why I just opted for the sylvania silverstar blue bulb. They Burn yellow but when off it doesn't give your light assembly that amber color, which I hate.

Lets start a grass roots movement against old people driving. I swear I can't get anywhere at walmart because they are all hovering waiting for their blue parking stalls like vultures. Plus they are one of two types, extremely slow or ridiculously fast drivers... I have 3 friends that had their cars totaled because of elderly drivers, one was a 98 year old woman slammed into the back of his S-10 going 90+ on the highway, and she walked away without a scratch!

No LED I have ever head of has ever generated enough heat to jeopardized the housing. The only time you have to worry about it are HID's because of their high temp and certain halogen/ xenon bulbs. LED's run on very little current and don't produce that much heat. The heat generated from a light is electrical heat being released through a filament. LED are diodes and do not contain a filament therefore no heat.

1 watt leds and higher do generate heat, just not enough to melt a reflector housing like a filament bulb does. That's why they have the metal heatsink. It's to keep the emitter from overheat and melting itself.
Just to clarify the 194 1 watt are brighter than most LEDs, but NOT as bright as a regular filament 7440 at 21W, which is the original blinkers on all 4 sides. So using them as parking light replacements is fine or in addition to the original filament blinkers, but by themselves as blinkers they're not safe because they're not bright enough to be seen from far.

I have those coming in the mail as well. Let me know how they work out if you got them already. GE headlights can be replaced via the hood right? Or do I need to pull back the fender well?
Just pop the hood and you can see where they twist out at the back of the headlight.
