Call my a loser but I am eagerly anticipating the relaunch of Honda Canada's 2009 Fit website. Right now when you click on it you get a page not found error... Just want to see what they list for official pricing of accessories and such.

Oh, they actually now have information for Canadians? What a shocker. Just wish the website actually worked...

Dang! You had me all excited but that link still doesn't work for me. I'll keep trying. Not sure why since I did sign the papers on my 2009 Orange Revolution Sport automatic last week. Used the 2009 accessory list from the US that somewhere here kindly posted to order my extras...

Um, there had better be heated side mirrors in the Sport! Only listed under the LX. Must be a typo...

AND I can confirm that no spash guards, front or rear, fit onto the Sport. Boy, they kind of did a rush job on this website from what I've seen so far!

Ok. Information in brochure is right. Note that a block heater ($176.41), centre armrest ($335.46), and cargo tray ($128.50) are available but not listed. Also, they have financing rates starting at 7.4%. Holy cow. Guess I got a decent deal after all....

How much would you say that $335 armrest would be in US dollars?

You can get it here at $179 US:

Oh about $310 US. The problem is that I'm in Canada so importing some of those items over the board is costly. Also, I'm, um, not mechanically inclined so installing anything (I even heard the mats are a hassle!) is out. I'd rather pay more at my Honda dealer in Canada, have them deal with all the installations, and not have to try to figure out how to get genuine Honda items over the border.

You're right! I looked at the armrest console instructions and it was pretty complicated for such a simple accessory. You have to remove the entire center console in the process. I'll just carry a sling for my right arm, thank you.

As for the mats, I finally got my all season mats from the dealer and I installed the driver's mat myself. I tell ya it's dang scary as hell to go cut holes in your beautiful new carpeting, especially if you don't know if you're doing it right. It's actually a pretty simple install, so if you understand what you have to do it's no big deal.

Oh no thanks! I'll let my Honda dealership deal with cutting into my carpet. I couldn't do it....

I had to wiggle the heck out of the $5200 offered on my trade-in (2004 Mazda3 Sport GT in MINT condition) so no, I didn't mention the $1310 I got charged from Freight/PDI...

The .pdf brochure shows the heated mirrors are on the LX and Sport.

Went to Crowfoot Village Honda today and test drove an LX 5-spd manual. Then I ordered a black '09 Sport that's already en route from Japan. (Yes, they showed me their copy of the manifest).

Only options I ordered were the cargo tray, block heater and locking wheel lugs. I'll go to a detail shop for the protective bumper film and Canadian Tire for the all-weather floor mats, thank-you-very-much.

Full MSRP, but no doc fees, "security" etching or "admin fees." $1325 for Freight (they showed me a "memo from Honda" explaining the $30 increase effective Sept. 3rd. Ya, right...). Then they tried to tack the GST on top of the $120 air-cond/tire tax. Only six bucks, but I flatly refused on principle. They relented.

Final OTD price including taxes: $22,679.12 via the "one-payment" plan. $500 deposit, to be credited toward the above figure. Balance due of $22,179.00 payable upon delivery. Typical, considering this is in Calgary, Alberta, Canada--- home of the five-thousand-dollar 1986 Ford Tempo...

Hi new member here. This just rolled off the truck last Thursday evening and I literally saw the transport truck leaving the dealership. (Drove an '09 demo the day before.) They still have to remove the shipping film and add the 3M stuff to the hood, bumper and side mirrors. Will be picking this up on Saturday!
