Anyone experience any 09 major issues?
I think I've got one. I think I've got an AT tranny issue. It must be isolated because I've not heard of this yet. anyways...
When parked on a downhill slope. No matter how slight, when I put the tranny in drive and roll about 10 or 20 feet I get a bang in the tranny that can be felt all the way back to the shifter! It doesnt happen till its in drive. Once I rolled out of the space in neutal about 30 feet THEN put in in drive and 10 feet later BANG! Parked on any uphill grade and this problem does not exist.
Speaking as a backyard mechanic, It's like the park pin is not totally disengaging on a downhill slope and once the tranny starts to turn, it gets slapped back in place.
I of course will be addressing this with my dealer, that's what warranties are for. I was just curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

Can you explain this a little more, were you moving when you put in D? Did your problems start after doing this?

As a test I put it in neutral and did roll a little before putting it in drive. I wanted to see it it was tied to the drivline or the tranny side. A long as its in neutral and rolling no noise only once its put in drive does it do this a few feet later.
No it developed before that at work. My parking space is on a slight slight downhill grade. Normal procedure, start the car, put in gear, start to go.. 10 or 15 feet later bang! Started doing this about a week after I got it.
If I park it on the uphill side. No problems. Strange..
