Fit for dog people (few photos)

Thought I'd share some photos of my new SSM Sport w/Nav. I decided on the Fit because I thought it would have a lot of room for all 4 of my dogs and put a deposit on one in late June. Was supposed to get it on the 12th but that d@mn hurricane pushed it to the 29th.

Anyways, I figured there would be dog people coming to this forum asking if it would be good for dogs and well.. IT IS! I think the only thing I'd change about this car is the black fabric.. I've got 4 dogs and all have white hair.

The crates are 28x20x20 (left) and 36x25x25. I still have room to fit another crate in front of those two.

Why spend all that money on crates and whatnot when you can get one of these?

The crates in the car are just to show others how well they fit inside. I prefer to transport my dogs Mitt Romney-style by strapping them to the roof.

Here is a shot of my dog in the Fit. He likes it OK but not as much as the 4Runner. He weighs about 90 lbs. and is fairly comfy baqck there. I agree about the hair. It is one of my gripes about the car...I wish one could get another color interior with the sport.

A dryer!! They should feature that in a commercial. Who'd a thunk!

Oh, we 'dog people' would have loved to see the dogs, too! The pooch in the OR.....great pic!

All us dog owners need to buy cases of lint rollers. White dogs and Fit interiors DON'T suit each other!! I put a white sheet over my seat when I need to take the dog somewhere.

Have you checked out this website (better photo here)? They have a custom cover that fits the back of the 08 Fit but not one for the 09. I'm going to try contacting them and see if they have plans to do one for the 09 anytime soon. That would be perfect!

Nice! I like them! Only problem is that my dog rides up front with me. She's my shotgun rider...

Crap if my young one could hold still she'd be sitting up front, too. She's just a bundle of energy right now and would get me in a wreck if I tried that!

I saw that site before.. if those accessories were readily available in the US I'd be all over that!
