Finally getting a Fit!
Finally getting a Fit!
This has been in the making since April 21, 2006, the first time I test drove a Fit (the day after they were released in the US). I've always wanted one since then, but things kept getting in the way, and when I did have finances set, I waited for the 2nd gen. Well, today I finally put a deposit on a Blue Sensation Sport with AT and the Navi/VSA package. It's already on its way (I had to call 10 dealers to find one that had this exact one coming in soon), and I should be able to pick it up in a week! I absolutely can't wait. Now I just hope they give me a good deal on trading in my del sol, or else I might have to sell it outright.
Yeah, I figured I would get $1000 or less as a trade, so that would only save $60 in taxes. I threw it on craigslist today for $1500 OBO and have had about 7 people email me so far about it. I'm just scared to sell it before the other car comes in, just in case something happens.
Congrads on your soon to be induction into the Fit Family! Yes, you never know what might happen. My car was suppose to be delivered in mid-May and then they changed it and said it would be middle of June. Lucky for me an MR AT Sport was on the lot and some other persons loan did not go through so they offered me that one now or waiting another month. I ended up getting the MR and am so happy that I did. Post us some pictures when you can.

The salesguy just called, and they just unloaded it off the truck!!! I'm not going to be able to pick it up until Saturday morning, which is fine, because it's supposed to rain tomorrow anyway. Pics to follow here and in the official GE pic thread. I'm so excited!!!
It's arrived! I picked it up at the dealership this morning. I paid MSRP, plus tax, title, and license. After my $1900 down payment it came out to be $331 a month for 66 months at 5.49%. Getting ready to order floormats, center console, wheel locks, and cargo cover tonight. Here are some pics of Holly.

Check that "Help please" thread. I replied to you in there. Long story short, there's holes, but they aren't visible unless you are on the ground looking at the underside of the bumper.
If you want to compare dealers, DealerRater.com - Car Dealer Reviews, Car Dealer Directory, FREE Dealership Classified Ads seems like a good site. Performance didn't get too good of reviews there, but they were the only ones with the car coming in, so I went with them. Jeff Wyler Honda in Florence has the best rating on that site, but every time I called asking about Fits, the sales people seemed kind of clueless (one even asked, "Oh, those come with navigaion now?"). If you call Joe Jarvis at Performance, tell him Ryan Phillips sent you, and he should treat you right.
