This Past Week's Mods - Many, Many, Many - with Pics
Well, it was a lot easier to stick these in a Picasa album - linky:
Picasa Web Albums - Tom - Honda Fit Mod...
Was very busy this week, as the UPS man brought lots of stuff from College Hills Honda to my door.
Hope this gives some folks pondering these various upgrades an idea as to how they look. I know some posts have shown some of these items, but here's a one stop shop - Enjoy!
(I just realized there isn't a pic of the AT leather shift knob - if someone wants a pic, let me know.)

Good photos! The front scuff plate looks great! So do the carbon fiber pieces. From your shot of the meter trim, I can now see that it's only a sliver and not the whole hood. The GDs had the whole hood covered. (IIRC)

Lessee now...
- In looking at the photos, I do now see that the AT shift lever & leather knob is quite visible - thanks for pointing that out
- All items were from College Hills Honda, including all the CF trim pieces. In looking at them vs Benardi, they were more expensive per part, but their shipping was less. Since they're closer, I went with CHH.
- The armrest/console installation wasn't too bad. I did have some of those crazy, time-consuming delays we all run into doing things like this, like having a lot of trouble getting the bolts back in that secure a plate under the parking brake cables - including dropping one of the bolts and having to fish it out from under the carpet - DOH!!! Additionally, the instructions call for drilling some metric size holes and all I have are standard bits, hole-saws, wood saws, etc. If you're doing the install, using a 3/4" wood hold saw versus the 20mm hole saw works fine. The rubber trim plugs fit in the holes fine - just takes a little physical ooomph.
- Finally, I had to do something about all the white paint showing in the wheel wells - I HATED seeing that. So I used Griot's Garage Paint Prep, did my best to clean the painted surfaces, then sprayed a couple coats of satin black Dupli-Color Wheel Coating. Very tough paint I've had good luck with in the past - if you go into my Gallery in Picasa, you can see the my previous car I drove for the past 8 years (2001 S4), and the BBS wheels were painted with this product, with good results.

yeah the wheel wells look awesome! on my sensation blue the paint fades in that area to an almost sky-blue color, drives me NUTS!!!! i was thinking about seeing if i could get someone to spray rhino lining in there but your solution seems much... cheaper.

The instructions from Honda for installation (found at College Hills Honda website) show the driver's armrest being removed, and there's a little plastic plug that fills the hole from the bolt. I'd say it wouldn't be too noticeable.

I had a question on the armrest storage, is it the same height as the driver armrest?
