Those of us who have been scammed on web forums before like to try to cover our asses the best we can.

A request of a pic of the product and some proof that it's yours, not a pic you found by a Google search is not unreasonable.

I agree with you & would want the same, but for most sellers they will just sell to the first person that can get the payment to them.
