People need to remember that you do have rights when it comes to what happens at a dealership. You can always walk away if something is presented you did not want or something is changed in what you ordered. I am a car girl and I've walked out of dealerships before with a deal on the table and knew they were taking advantage of me. When I know more about the car than the salesman does - it is a little helpful and I always download information off the web as to pricing and any deals going on at the time. I've made my own car deals since I got my license and I would rather have my gums cleaned than to step on a new car lot! but if your informed and know what to look out for, it can be painless.

Hope you can get things worked out that will make you happy. The Fit is a great car but just like anything it is not made for everyone.

Isn't it sad? First, that so many of us walk into dealerships and wind up having to deal with people who are incredibly unenthusiastic about the product they sell. And second, that this is what leads so many of us to actually hate the process so much that it takes the fun out of something that should be so exciting.

After all the cars I/we have bought over the years, the guy I bought my Audi from back in late 2000 was the only "car guy" I've ever run into on a sales floor. Genuine, honest, knew the product and seemed more driven to educate me about the product than close the deal. The salespeople in Chevrolet, Subaru and Honda dealers would be equally at place selling you a dishwasher at Sears.

I have to ask... is your fit issue a height issue or width issue? I specifically had a 6'4" person sit in my car (passenger) and they still had space above their head. Of course, there is always the difference in where one's waist is.

Now, when I sit in any other car I have a sort of a claustrophic moment because the roof is so close to my head. And, I've only owned the car for 3 weeks...

Sorry you don't enjoy your car. I had to put a down on my car before it came in to reserve it too. I had never seen the color (TWB). I was told that even if a contract is signed, the deal isn't done until you drive off the lot.

Pretty simple.....We are addicted to tobacco! Stupid habit I must say, also every week I have to vaccum out my car. Hey...I should mention, I bought this vaccum about a month ago. It's the best car vaccum I have ever owned. It's a tad expensive, but it works so damn well!

I test drove mine. But only after 3 weeks of extensive market research and searching online honda dealers for the colors they have in stock around my area. I went from 07 si to s2000 to fit. So I am not new to honda and I got everything i read about. (except floor mats) but i worked those out for free anyway. Best way is to treat car buying like a College Biology Lab. Form your hypothosis and if it fails test a new car.
