Angry 09 MR Fit got hit in the parking lot.

well, my girlfriend and i went costume shopping the other day....

some girl hopped the curb, went across the sidewalk and skid across the grass into the front of my g/f's car. then left.

thank god she left a note on the windshield and came back she said her foot got stuck on the gas

not much damage, gunna need a new front bumper and passenger headlight. theres only 500 miles on it one big dent the size of a basketball on the passenger side front bumper, right on the corner, it could have been just popped out if it hadnt cracked lol...

ill try and get the pics from her cell loaded on here.

i think it was about $1,300 worth of damage.

going through the other girls policy number FTW!! PT cruiser rental car FTL!!

EDIT: here are the pics....

Sorry to hear that. I would be BBB (bummed beyond belief). So since you're going through her insurance does that mean that your premium won't increase?

What was she driving? The bump is quite low on the car--too low to be an SUV it seems--but to get a car to jump a curb like that would be challenging. I'm not quite sure how she could do that.

it was an 02 nissan altima she hit our car with her nose, dead in the middle, the only damage to her car was on her license plate

same happens in cali. once there is a hint of rain people forget how to drive.

as for your insurance going up, it won't because it wasn't a moving violation and was the other person's fault 100%. non driving violation.

NY??? I consider them (myself) experts in rain/snow driving. Have you driven in LA when it "rains"?? OMG, people pull over under an overpass because there's a few light sprinkly drops falling from the sky.

How the heck does your foot get stuck on the throttle? And then go over a curb? At least she fessed up, that's something you won't find a lot of these days.

Were it not for the fender paint work, it would have been a fairly simply replacement of front bezel, front bumper/reinforcement, etc.

Pay extra attention to the paint repair. Check it thoroughly for match and finish. Do not accept less than excellent paint work.

Most likely, they will have to blend into the passenger front door, so check that over as well.

Good luck!

That sucks about your car. At least it wasn't major damage and she is willing to take responsibility.

I guess everybody everywhere freaks when is rains. In Texas, when it snows or ices up, you may as well stay home. I am a careful driver and though not used to snow and ice as much as the folks up north, I do know how to drive in it. It's everyone else out there that scares me. They see ice on a bridge and all slam on their brakes! It would be amusing if it wasn't so dangerous.
