Checked the manual - yes we do have allergy filters for hte A/C system. From now on I am going to use the passthrough vent to get outside air instead, thanks to all your carbon monoxide scare. ;-)

Yup, and since it bonds with hemoglobin about 200 times as readily as oxygen does, it doesn't take a whole lot to cause the same effects as asphyxiation.

As for the CO2 while in recirc issue, you'll have problems with (lots of) water on the windows long before the level gets dangerous. That's the way it works for me, since I don't have an idiot light for the recirc like the old car, and when I drive 20 miles and can't figure out why I need the AC on to see in my rear view mirror I'm not dizzy or anything. Usually then comes the "Aaah crap I forgot the lever again" moment.

Umm... aside from the HIDs and AWD on the RS trim and L trim, it isn't really that awesome. The first two trims look extremely basic in terms of what they offer. Those Fits (JDM) don't really come with anything that we don't have. On top of that, the 09 Fit Sport (USDM) has better wheels, front and rear bumper, fog lights, and a stereo system for the price of $17k as compared to the Fit RS (JDM).

Although I wonder how good the AWD system is on the Fit.

I likey the two-tone seats myself.

I also just plain love the seats in this car. They're 100x better than the seats in the Outback and some of the cushier, more comfy seats I've had in a car in a long time.

There are quite a few more options that come with this version of the fit.... it comes with heated front window wiper glass/ aqua clean heated mirror lenses/ tinted front window glass (this is something this car needs)..and a few other goodies that I have to look at my catalog to make sure..... but it`s not a bad deal for what your paying...

Also on a side note... that room cabin filter goes for about 75$ ...!!!!

Is the room cabin filter you talked about the ones in JDM high way edition or the ones in our US Fit? I have seen the 08 version sold for less than 20 bucks.
If it really does a good job then $75 is worth it. consider how much you have to pay for HEPA filters if you have a air filtration system at home.

id be curious if the air filters i the GD3s are HEPA. I doesn't really matter to me though. I don't have allergies. Oh and in the Bay Area, we have fastpass. I think it's in SoCal too.

JDM Sir,

can we simply get the JDM allergy cabin filter and replace the current US cabin filter w/ it? If it costs that much it must be very efficient at filtering air. Must be good for us allergy sufferers.

Yeah... I dunno though if at $75 its really worth it; does it really work that well?

Yeah... you go to those crowded asian cities and you have a whole different set of features. I went to Singapore last year and saw most cars with the proximity sensor and autofolding side mirrors as standard. Parking is a bitch in that town and cars for that market are designed around that reality. I saw a whole lot of those Chinese made cars too.

Sweet! Wonder if we'll be able to discern the $75 JDM HEPA cert. one from OEM.. If the JDM model has a carbon activated element/pre-filter it may be worth it, at least then it would actively remove the noxious odors.
