I have a Garmin nüvi® 880 that I can move to various vehicle or use on my motorcycle. I made a mod to my 09FIT sport to the upper glove box for a power adapter and put the little beanbag holder in the dip between my instruments and the radio. I have the remote for the voice activation on the steering wheel right above the left side spoke.

*shakes fist*

Envious of you guys with the Navi... wish I could have justified it. If they had thrown in XM/Bluetooth with the Navi, it would probably have gotten me to buy one. I suppose I still have my faithful Tomtom One for those days when I need a GPS.

What was your modification? I want to clean up the power cord for a StreetPilot 7200.

Above and beyond the navi, Im glad it has vsa.

Someone cut me off on wet roads the second week I owned the car. I had to swerve to avoid an accident and the stability control kicked in... it is unreal how much faster the computer can react. Totally worth the extra money right there. I dont believe I would have wrecked, but you never know how others around you may react. If the vsa saves me from an accident, its worth the $1500 I had to drop for nav/vsa right there.

I have the Blue Sensation Auto with Navi as well. It's my first GPS, so even though it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of the aftermarket units, it is great for me. It worked really well in the New Orleans area where I get turned around a lot.

I especially like the interface with the audio system.

I knew I had to have the Navi even though it was a pretty expensive upgrade. I will say I am glad I got it. The Navi has been more useful than I first imagined it would be, and having it built into the dash is a real plus for me as well. But I will say the lack of XM and bluetooth nearly made me reconsider, but I get the XM thing worked out with my Inno (a better solution in some ways) and the BT is still being worked on.

Radio shack has a fused 12v DC Car power accessory Outlet with cover.

The picture shows it in a bracket but you can take it out of the bracket. I mounted it in the left side (by the radio - there is a lot of room there) of the upper glove box, so that the power adapter can stick into the glove box. It is a nice clean install and easy to do. It makes it look like the car came with the extra outlet now.
I sanded off the corner of the lid of the glove box slightly so the cord comes threw. When you are not using it you can just open the lid and throw the cord inside.

I'll try to get some photo's this weekend if you would like.

I went with the Navi just so I could limit the amount of electronics sticking to my windshield (iPhone, XM radio) and I've been extremely pleased with my decision.

i actually preferred not to have the expense of navi since i rarely used it in our previous car with it ('07 G35 sedan), but this was the only Fit with a MT in the nashville-area when I was looking so it's what i ended up with.

i was actually concerned some dumb azz thief might think it was a aftermarket unit and try to steal it so i had a local graphics shop cut up a 1/4" high "HONDA" decal that i applied to the upper-center part of the bezel to identify it as a stock, honda unit. paranoid? yep.

I opted for the Navi as well. It is pretty good, but way too complicated. I am sure it is a matter of what you are used to, but I miss the Audi Navigation Plus for its sheer simplicity and intuitive interface.
