Heated Side View Mirrors (US)

I really want to install heated side mirrors on my Fir Sport. Can anyone point me in the direction of where to order the parts?

So far the only way to get them (afaik) is thru member JDM_DOHC_SiR

The Canadian Fits do come with heated side mirrors, so maybe you can order them from a Canadian dealership. Wiring them up would probably be a nightmare.

Also available are the Heated side mirrors with LED Winkers JDM of course. Now those are the ones I really want!!!!

But as the threads below show wiring will not be that easy.

I just placed an order for left and right mirror glass with heating elements through a Canadian dealer.

My plan is either to wire the mirrors to a fuse and then to ignition switched power, or to the fuse for the rear defroster and back to the rear defroster button.

The mirrors should arrive in a week or so, and I will have them installed at the same time that I install my auto dimming rear view mirror.

So you only bought the actual mirror with heating element.

No winkers, or auto fold?

A step by step pictorial would be greatly appreciated if possible. I think the connection to the rear defroster would be a good bet, so that it's not running the whole time.

Enjoy them!

No winkers or auto fold. The cost was too high.

I am not sure if I will try to do it myself, but I will try to get some pics for a DIY.

My cars in the past had the heating elements powered at all times, so that shouldn't be a problem. The parts adviser I placed my order through said that in the past, the radio and the rear defroster were on the same fuse, and people ran into problems with aftermarket stereos, and he suggested I try to find a spare fuse.

On the Canadian Fits, the heated mirrors come on with the rear defroster switch.

Will one of the Canadian members tell me how many amps the fuse is for the rear defroster & heated mirrors?

Thanks!

Thanks. That's interesting, as there are a couple other fuses dedicated for the rear defogger. I don't have the manual in front of me, but I think they are 20 and 30 amps.

Here is a pic of the US mirror harness..... you basically have 3 pin locations that can be used that are open... So you will need at least 2 per connector.. and the fun part will be wiring each door harness to the main fuse panel..

Which dealer did you get them from? I really want heated mirrors before the next chicago winter. You just got the heated mirror glass, not the whole mirror "ear" assembly, right? How much did they cost? Did you ever get them installed?

I got them from Middlegate Honda:

Middlegate Honda

I believe the gentleman that helped me was Tom. I purchased only the mirror glass, with heating elements attached, and the pair were about $100 total. I haven't installed them yet, but plan on it soon. I have wiring diagrams and the like that I can email you if you'd like them.

I never got around to installing the heated mirrors, and I will be trading my Fit in within the next few months.

I am selling the heated mirrors that I purchased. $125 shipped.

Damn.... I was hoping you'd post a DIY eventually
If money wasn't so tight, and if I had a steady job I'd buy them off you. Not that I would have any idea on how to install them.
If they're not sold eventually I'll link ya.

What are you trading the Fit in for?

I would think you need windsheild washer fluid heater as well. I already installed on mine.

Just read about these online after your suggestion, so far they look really nice, I agree! A 10/100,000 warranty would seal the deal!
