Exclamation HELP: Cooper S vs Honda FIT dilemna

I know EXACTLY what my Cooper S would look like if I got it. Its pictured above.

I'm having a very hard time picturing what my Fit Sport would look like. Has anybody actually tastefully modded their second gen Fit yet?? I keep checking back from time to time and find nothing. :-( Maybe I'm retarded and not looking in the right direction.

By tastefully, I mean lowered, nice set of wheels, etc. Nothing too over the top. Similar to the photoshop above. Some of Noblesse's previous Fits looked great.

HELP!! I'm buying early next year.

Thanks in advance.

-Barry

The $$ is appropriate. The painted arches really make it stand out along with the painted rings around the lights. That was my only beef with the R56. The lights look waay too much like goldfish. The MINI's facelift is due the end of next year but I wont wait that long.

My Father has a 2007 Cooper S in that color without the JCW kit, rims, etc. The car is super fun. The MINI would cost me 31,000 to get it how I want it. I am not spending 30k on a FWD car. 25k would be as high as I would be willing to go.

I think I found a few pics of the kind of GE8 fits I'm talking about. I shall post soon!!!

I looked at both, the Fit S was more for the money a year ago as a DD. Winter in a Cooper is not great, not the winters I deal with.

I will get a Cooper in the next year as a non-winter driver, this guy has a sweet ride, blacked out everything and did tons of mods:

Philip Ganderton, Gandini, drPhilGandin

There are thousands of mods for a Cooper, endless and this is what I like. Plus the Sport model was a blast to drive, same fuel economy as the Fit as well.

The devil is in the details man. Both the Cooper and Cooper S use premium fuel. It will be a complete bitch to $ervice the Cooper out of warranty. A buddy of mine took his in for work 3weeks ago. It was $1700 worth of work for a switch or something. He didnt pay a dime b/c it was under warranty. I will be driving a lot for marketing purposes and I'm thinking the fit will better fit me. The Cooper S IMO dosent feel like a FWD car to me. It was incredibly beefy. I love that.

i like that GE photoshopped looked good, i have the same problems with both cars they both carry stigma's as chick cars (no offense) i hate that cars come with stereotypes like the Integra i will get which comes with Supremo Rice mobile. RANT OVER

But back on topic go for the GE put rims on it lower it and do some FI and you'll be set with cash to spare over the Cooper S, plus Fit'll run for ever, Mini Coop not so much

i say just get the Fit cuss the S is too much and if you got the fit and put a supercharger in there it still wouldnt be as expensive as a S dont get my wrong the mimi cooper S is a great car i wanted to get one myself before but i chose the Fit =)

p.s
Hondas are always better performance and looks. no offense

The one thing that I love about the MINI and not so much the fit is roofline. I love how the new FIT has those ''in your face'' headlights.

The MINI will cost much more to operate. I'm leaning towards the Honda. I would feel more comfortable with it out of warranty. It could become a viable beater next to my future S3000.<- if they ever make one

2007 JCW MCS on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

The car just drives me nuts!!

Im|Inside|Fit, your car is the finest Fit I have seen. Perfect. You may have a knock-off in Calgary this summer, in blue though.

Get the mini and have a blast with it. Pay off the mini and keep it as a weekend cruiser and pick up a fit as a daily driver.
