things I miss that the Fit lacks

1. all doors unlock when the car is parked
2. Lights come on automatically/turn off after the car is shut down(WTF)
3. real carpet

fix those three things and I might buy another one next year.

I can't believe there isn't a light in the glovebox. I suppose there probably isn't one under the hood, either.

auto headlights and a lighted key ring were my two
main problems.
the key ring is done now.
so it just leaves the auto headlights
will try to work a solution to this
oh also hate the car doesn't have variable
wipers.

first thing that my wife complained about was the lack of auto lights, I will not be able to keep track of the amount of times she will have to be jumped off due to a dead battery. someone posted a part that jc whitney carries. If anyone happens to try that, post it up!!

Leave headlights on and open the door, it'll start beeping.

Only as shitty as the GD carpet...well maybe less shitty... I really haven't had a problem with it. Seems about the same as my mom's CR-V carpet.

try hearing that when you have an excitable four year old in the back seat. just something that we got very used to, not having to turn them on or off.

one day these features WILL tricle down to the econo cars like the Fit, just like the auto window, remote key and CD player and such. Of course the higher end cars will have even more features that you never think you needed, but once you get used to them, you will demand them on all your future cars too.

i too miss the auto lights and variable wiper thing, but I am more interested in having VSA standard. maybe by that time the navi model can carry some real "fancy" features such as satelite radio, variable wiper, auto lights, seat height adjusters, etc.

oh, talking about auto lights - i don't think they are available on any honda cars.(correct me if i am wrong). maybe they didn't license that technology. it's like none of toyota cars have folding side mirrors (again correct me if i am wrong).

I've been living that BMW reality, it isn't cheap. Mine's not even that laden with junk, a 7-series is ridiculous.

Fact is that the Fit has a ton of features that econo-boxes never had in the past. It's the main reason I bought one, plus the fact that it's the first car of this size that's safe enough for me to want to have my family in.

I was reading this thread yesterday https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...nt-wipers.html they were trying to figure out how to do that mod. Some people suggested swapping out the wiper stalk, but not sure they figured out if it works though.

Exactly!!! Very true.

My list of things I miss is quite long, but with a few mods, I can hopefully narrow down that list.

Heated/Cooled Leather 8-way adjustable seats
Sunroof/Skyroof option
Bluetooth/DVD unblocked on Navi
Dual-Zone Auto temp Climate Control w/outside temp reading
Rear disc brakes

Those will be more pricier/difficult mods, but the simpler ones are more possible (ie. auto-fold heated side mirrors w/signal winkers, refresh mode w/ JDM right side seatback swap, LED interior lights, grill guard on lower section of front bumper, independant fog lights, locking gas cap, louder horn, etc...)

Things I wish I could get done but not likely, refrigerated top glove box (avail in UK), Automatic rain sensing windscreen wipers, etc..
