My Stock Painted Rims **PIC**

didnt really get any shots of the hole car with them on, was running low on daylight, i'll post more pics later, just want to give you a quick glance

looks great. i was thinking of doing the same thing.
i was thinking gunmetal grey though.
well anyway like i said looks fantastic.
what methods did you use? and how much
did it cost you?

thank you thank you, well first i washed my rims extremely good, sanded them for about 30min each wheel, then just took of the wheel from my car tapped up the whole tire and sprayed them... it only costed me 30 bucks, 5 cans x $6.00

k, few questions if u don't mind...

- wet or dry sand?
- what grit?
- how far down did you sand?
- and did you clear over them too?

dry sand

400 grit

not too far down, only base

yes i clear coated them at the end

cool! Thanks for the reply! Can I ask why you just didn't use aircraft remover?

i dont know wasnt really thinking, time was limited for me, and i wanted them done before one of my car meets...

but the next time i paint them i'll go ahead and use it, thanks for the tip



btw i think im the only one the puts the tow hook on the front, refer to pic 4

Hey what part of Fontana are you in? im from rancho. I MIGHT have spotted you awhile back off of 19th and archibald just below the 210.

Well done!

I'm going to get my rims painted as well. I have the "Vivid" Blue Sensation and am still debating on what colour to get them done in.

I would tend to think a dark gunmetal would look really sharp on there

where did you get the Honda logos for the center caps from? I'm looking to get mine powder coated and want to change the logos to a deep red and then clear over them

lol yea that was probably me, my moms house is in southridge part of fontana, and my dad lives right across from ontario mills in the apartments, i also work at the target off of summit past the 210 so chances r that it was me [=

there stickers : what i did is just took my center cap off and took it to a custom sticker shop, they made the outlining and color for me for the sticker, then i painted my hole center cap and put the sticker on them, very simple
