Q: K20 Fit Swap info? (I would like to know.)

Just out of couriusity. How difficult is it to do a K20 swap?

Example, is there changeing of motor mounts/ or welding in new ones?

Will the K20 wireharness plug in the the Fits Body harness?
Or is there cutsomwireing /or a wire conversion to be done?

But looking at it I would think it would drop in with out any issues.

Here's a pretty well documented swap on a GD. You'll need a set of Hasport motor mounts.

Too much work and $$$ as far as I'm concerned. It's cool to have a K20 in a Fit but not worth the cash in my opinion. I'd rather get forced induction on my L15 and keep it relatively simple. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the K20 swap in a Fit is at +$10g's.
I believe the AJR T1R Fit did better @ the SuperLap Battle than the Hasport K20 Fit.

Well i was more than likely going to plane to do the swap myself. Thus I dont have to pay $$$ for labor. Just buy all the part and Do it.

Im not quite that far down the road.
But as of now, i just would like to know how diffcult this swap can be. I'm
just doing some research.

do k24 block, k20a2 head. You need k20a2 ecu, kpro, hasport k24 motor mounts, axles, and that should be it. Like other guy said, you can find everything you need to know at fitswap.com OH and might as well get a Jackson Supercharger at 8psi. Damn near 300whp you'll be putting out. I'd kill for $15,000 lol

I believe the K20 swap on a GD requires cutting part of the frame or something to that affect, does anyone know if this is the same case for the GE?

I'm in the midst of doing this swap. I'm buying parts and doing a lot of research as we speak. It can be done, my biggest concern is going to be wiring. Once I get into the actual swap I'm going to begin a build up thread and post my efforts. Right now it's too early to put all the info out there, I may have somethings wrong that i'll figure out during the process. As I get closer I'll up date. As for the K24 block and son on, that's the route I'm taking. Cheaper and faster.
