I just wanted to see a picture of the actual dome light and to see if the fit had map lights...

Base model = no map lights.
Sport model = 2 map lights, one for driver and one for passenger.

 

do you know how to pop off the casing for the maplights? im not sure how to take it off

 

There is a very small slit cut out in the clear plastic cover, perfect size for a small flat head screwdriver to wedge in and pry open. You have to look very close to spot it, but it's there.

That's a different dome light than the one in my 2009 sport. Wonder why. Production change? Mine has two light lenses that meet in the middle. No center grey plastic part.

I'm looking into making my map lights go on with the dome light since the dome light got moved way back during the sunroof install.

 

That center gray plastic thing must be exclusive to Fit Sports with NAVI...........that's my mic! I wish you Good luck with modifying the stock dome lighting setup, sounds like a fun weekend project!

Not sure when I'm going to get around to the map light to dome light mod. I want to be able to keep it as a map light too. What I might do is wire it with a switch that comes in the Odyssey... it's a three position switch that is on/door/off. Might put that in one of the blanks on the left... you know, where your VSA button is. Thanks for the good luck.. might need it.

p.s. can someone remove the lens so that I can see if the map led light that I have will fit the fit lol.

From what I know, the fit and the civic are the same map lights. If true, then I will have two led units in stock in two weeks, before xmas.

O M G, I just realized that my Canadian FIT sport has no map lights, just the dome light. Why oh Why?

 

I know that the 09 Sport comes with it while the 09 Base model doesn't. Not sure if its the same for Canadian models

 

Request for someone to take better pictures, particularly of the gauges.

 

My fit sport definitely is missing the dome light and a quick check of Honda.ca shows no mention of it. What a silly thing to leave out . Garr, I may considering putting the ambient light in
