Underated magic seats?

When I first was looking at the fit I obviously liked the fold down seat function. But after a few weeks of using the car I REALLY like the fold up seat option!

With the cargo cover making folding down the seats more of a commitment, I find myself constantly folding them up. The dog rides back there in a safe, roomy and comfortable location. I'll even bring down the smaller seat so he can have some window time. Groceries, sports equipment...I love this car!

Really, its so versatile and easy I think the up feature is the real genius with the magic seats!

sorry, so far I find the fold up seat option completely useless. With the exception that it makes getting the rear mats out easier when you are cleaning.

Seats

I have to admit I kind of dig the seats. The head rests though - the jury is still out on them. I like the little compartment under the drivers side rear seat, if you don't own a Fit you'd never know it was there. The only bad thing I can say about the seats is that they are HAIR MAGNETS. I wish I could have gotten leather.

I use the fold up seats all the time. As compared to putting something in the back, it's less likely to slide around. Even the cargo net in the back doesn't help as much as putting it in the rear seat footwell.

I've used the fold up feature a few times already. What's also magical about them is that when they're in their regular seating position, you can stuff bags and stuff UNDERNEATH them, enhancing space management. THIS is an underrated feature!!!

For a guy who's a natural sports car nut, appreciating this car for space and space flexibility really says something about this car!

I like to hide stuff underneath them as well.

When driving I like to put my seats all the way down. I feel like it gives my car a lower sense of gravity, thus safer/better cornering

Honda recently sent me a survey with lots of detailed questions about the Fit. I made it very clear how much I loved the car, but how terribly bad the material choice was. Ill prob burn up my shop vac within the next year trying to get them clean, gonna try a lint roller next time.

Too bad they'll prob fix this for the 2010 model.

Tall mode is great for throwing a few guitars in on the go.

The magic seats are great, I only wished they kept Refresh mode in the USDM GE's.

I love the seats too but I've found one thing that I don't like. I was hauling a few long items and also had 4 passengers. Flipped down the passenger side rear seat and went to buckle up the kids in the remaining two rear seats. Found out the seat that's flipped down has the buckle for the center seatbelt. So it looks to me like you're screwed if you want to seat 2 in the back with one of the the seats flipped down (or up).

Anyone else notice that?

Maybe it was done on purpose? There could be safety or other concerns with someone sliding off the center seat when the right seat is up.
