I like the JDM base ones cuz they are different. I'll wait a few years though when they start poppin up on ebay use. $400 or so is a lil steep. Dave, are they plug and play?

 

I'm not Dave, but yes even the LED ones are PNP

 

I'm sorry to disappoint but I LOVE the USDM ones. The JDM ones look bulky and I know are played out by everyone (at least on the GE8; the GD3 USDM's tails are yucky). The LED JDM RS ones dont have the red on the side so I don't like them.

Howd you get that mugen kit already? Thought they werent coming out till spring or so. Also why did you switch those ugly bling bling wheels? Look like they belong on a 300c.

 

I like the third one and if i would get it I would smoke the clear part. My question is this why can't you just put LED bulb on the USDM tail lights. The USDM light doesn't look bad at all

The second car is not mine. The Mugen Kits have been in Thailand for months now.

 

I like the USDM and JDM LEDs, the LEDs are what I like, and the USDM casing looks decent. I'd be interested in swapping LED bulbs into the USDM casing, cheaper and gets what I want. I've used LED bulb replacements a few years back and they burnt out easily. Probably due to no voltage regulator circuit and bulbs are more forgiving than LEDs. Has anyone had experience with LED bulb replacements and their reliability?

 

LED's should outlast an incandesent bulb 10 to 1. The JDM led's will do that.

However aftermarket LED bulb makers range from OK to complete crap.

I just worked hard to build trust and develop a friendship with a really good guy from Thailand. Once he has my tail lights we are going to post pics of each others cars. Plus he has a lot of friends, and they have a forum.
This I think might help pave the way for other guys to do swaps, keeping the costs down and kindling even more international friendships.

From adopting my kids, and business relationships half way around the world, I've found you can have friendships with some of the finest people you will ever meet. You just need to be generous and keep your word, that is mostly all there is to it.
