Secret Compartment Question

So the two little dials that open the secret bin underneath the rear left seat...one is tighter than the other...

...meaning one is almost loose....is anyone elses like this? I tried tightening down that philips bolt but it had nothing to do with it..it's already really tight.

I think only drug runners would use that compartment.

I use it to store my owner's manual...that way, my lower glove box, as small as it is, can still hold stuff...

Wow thats a great idea, idk why I didn't thought of that... Itz true the glove compartment box is small. But the upper compartment being lose, mines like that too, it doesn't make noise or anything so I guess its safe to say that its normal

I use it for my manual too.

But the same thing one is tight the other spins almost freely.

Yes, I made the recommendation back in August of using the secret compartment for all your manuals since it's fitted for it.

One of my knobs is loose like the OP's. As long as it still functions (it does) and doesn't rattle (it doesn't) then I'm fine with it.

Speaking of compartments, if you didn't read my latest update with my glove box rattle, which a lot of you seem to have, my dealer ended up replacing the glove box (the main glove box) and presto!!! No more noise. It has to do with the latch in the door. I think things got very loose in there. I hope my new one stays TIGHT!!!!

I read your post on using the compartment for manuals. When I picked up our car, the salesperson was showing off that and said, "I don't know what you'd do with that." I said, "That's to keep your manuals in." She said, "That's brilliant." I thanked her for the compliment. I guess that makes you brilliant (but don't tell her that).

okay if you take the manuals out of the glove compartment what do you put in there?? I just thought that is where those things were stored, you know for when your cruzen down the highway and an idiot light comes on you lean over fish out the book to figure out if you should panic, while swerving across 2 lanes??
