Noob question: Where do the terms "GD3" and "GE8" come from?

I am not particularly fond of the look of the GE but I don't hate it is still and fit none the less. I will be honest the only thing that has bothered me about the GE is the influx of new people it has brought to the site. Not saying that isn't a good thing( and not saying that the only people I am talking about are GE owners either ). I just wish alot of the newer members in general would use the search feature or look through some threads for answers instead of posting the same thing or question over and over again. Or if you have a question feel free to pm a admin or moderator we are more than willing to answer your questions and most of us have been on here quite awhile and are able to find the answer for you pretty quickly.

Has to do with the classification of the car and the chassis design for it.

 

its the chassis code. ie. eg ek dc db ap na blah blah. lol

 

any really nicely modded Fit or any car for that matter is something to behold...Im not sure what the hate is about as I don't partake, I think its the same in most forums, has to do with pride...Im proud of my fat white hamster, besides its the internet, hate is like fashionable or something....if those peeps couldn't hate they wouldn't have anything to post.

 

LOL. a Fit is a Fit. The GD and GE both have things that the other gen wishes they had. And I think the yaris looks more like a hamster. LOL!

 

well if hamsters were ugly would you have them as a pet...? then must be ok to drive them ..hahaha

Not like we are comparing Lambo's and Ferrari's.

I pull up to 07-08 Fits and smile and give a nod because they too obviously have good taste.

 

maybe you shouldnt make threads like this?

this is like the 10th thread the new people have made whining about GE haters. if someone doesnt like your car, does it really matter? theyre not driving it, and theyre not paying for it. theres plenty of people out there who dont like fits, but it doesnt matter.

i just wish alot of the new people would use the search function, czu everytime i get on i see new threads that have already been answered or contain kinda stupid questions that wouldve been answered if they had bothered to take the time t look for themselves.

that being said, you should probably just stop making threads like this, and calling us "haters", and call us "people with different taste."

have the GD owners who say the GE is ugly actually seen a GE live and in person?

i bet the overwhelming majority of impartial observers would say the GE is better looking than the GD. i mean come on.

Myself and the moderation team believe that the rampant bashing of both GEs from the GDs and GDs from the GEs has gone on long enough.

From this point forward, please keep you opinion to yourself as to which you think is best and which one blows.

We are a forum for the Honda Fit. Period. And we are not going to play favorites toward any particular model of this car. Despite any redesigns, it is still a Honda Fit, and as such everyone will respect everyone else.
