Nice! You must be one of the first base model GE I see on this forum. Looks good.

My JDM front and rear emblems are in customs right now. They will probably be here tomorrow.

Kind of an odd combination. At one end you have your deflector--a very rational decision(more for function than aesthetics)--and at the other you have your RS emblems--they don't really serve a purpose. What is your reason for the RS emblems.

My front and rear JDM emblems should be here tomorrow to complement the RS emblem.

do you really need to give a reason for styling?

what are the measurements that you followed for your placement of the RS emblem? just wondering as I was thinking of putting one on myself.

Just eyeball it and you'll be fine. Make it flow the way the FIT emblem does.

same reason people put jdm type r emblems on a fit, when a type r version doesnt exist - because they like it.

base ftw! its nice to see some underdogs on here!

I guess I have a different school of thought behind emblems. I don't view them as styling; I view them as an indication of styling. If it is a Fit RS, I would expect it to have an RS emblem. If it is styled like(contained the parts of) a Jazz, I would expect the emblem to read 'Jazz'. It almost seems like you are lying to people and is the equivalent of putting an M3 emblem on a 325, and that is just plain wrong.

First Drive: 2009 Honda Fit

Base model RS pics there. The RS badge is one of the things indicating the 1.5L i-VTEC engine which is stock on all US Fit's.

But you'll also notice that it has a different bumper and a myriad of other parts. It is also right hand drive. I guess what I am saying is that an RS badge should never be used because even a JDM conversion would have some American parts.

I have only owned my Fit for 3 months and I am already a purist.

Put whatever you want on your car dude, it's cool. Thanks for sharing! Goodguy, you make a valid point and I respect your opinion. However, if you consider your argument within the context of real world driving, only a very small percentage of other drivers would make the same connection.

I suppose. I was hoping for someone else with the same opinion.
