How 'bout a $25,000 Fit?

I stopped by a local Honda dealer over the weekend and they had a beautiful Blackberry Sport parked in the showroom with several goodies such as carbon fiber trim inside as well as the B-pillars, armrest (very nice), $180 wheel locks and more.

Question...who the hell would buy THAT car with specifically those items that's been sitting in the showroom for all to sit in and touch for $25,000??

I know the dealers can make their profit on the accessories, but to me, the more accessories you add to a car to sell, the fewer prospective customers you will have for that car.

I've never understood the appeal either, I specifically request a vehicle with no dealer installed options pretty much every time I buy.

Some people just have a lot of money and don't care (or not smart enough) if they get ripped off.

Maybe they think all that shiny carbon fiber will make people forget about the tiny engine under the hood when they reach back for their wallets.

A local dealer here put some chrome wheels and most of the accessories on one and it looked pretty sweet.

Its 100% in the dealers best interests to add these add one's for a car in the show room as it will shows people what these options look like installed. Its not like they are trying to sell that car, they are using it to sell options, As they will tell you what its worth while this isnt their intention though.

Good idea for any dealership and most do this. All of them do it around me!
