After Market Wheels. Did you get TPMS installed?

Just curious, I put on aftermarket wheels only to discover that the TPMS light will come on with out the TPMS sensors. I had not been aware of the 2008 regulation on TPMS until now. I have chosen to live with the light for now. How many people have put on aftermarket wheels with TPMS? Without?

Installed TPMS?

Live with TPMS light on dash?

I purchased my aftermaket wheels and tires from the Tire Rack with TPMS. The TPMS was an $320 extra, but I figured by the time I paid to have the factory TPMS uninstalled and reinstalled on the new wheels, all the extra labor costs I would have incurred made the extra $320 seem reasonable. I paid another $90 to have the new TPMS sensors calibrated at the Honda dealership, so my TPMS dash light would go off.

Third option... No TPMS system in Canadian Fits. We don't need to worry about that.

I've heard that putting the TPMS sensors into the spare can disable the system so the light turns off. Someone who has TPMS could try that to confirm if it works or not.

Haven't shelled out the $50 to have the shop install them. Will do so when I get my new set of tires...

Not to hard to deside. Put the tpms sensors on the new wheels if they dont fit or wont clear when they put the tires on then ur just gonna have a light on. It shouldnt be more than like 20-25bucks to get them installed.
