Disable Daytime Running Lights???

As topic states.

I am looking to retrofit HIDs in the FIT, got some H4 to D2S adapters, philips 6000k bulbs, and oem Lexus/Toyota slim Denso Ballasts.
Will probably be retrofitting it next weekend.

What I need to know is, how to disable the Daytime Lights on this thing?
Has anyone done it? is it as simple as pulling out the DRL fuse?
I'd prefer my HIDs not be running all the time at low power.

Thanks.

Just a follow-on query to the OP, does pulling #15 cause the DRL-failure dash light to come on, or does it simply disable them like they were never there?

I didn't try it yet, my HID kit off eBay was cancelled. They only had a set with a Dinged ballast in stock. Which I kindly said No Thanks to.

I ordered another set from HIDexpert.com for the Newer Denso Koito D4S/R kit. But no confirmation they were shipped yet.

Ahh, damn it, looks like I'll have to wait longer to do the HID conversion.

Both places I went to were out of Ballasts. Hmm.. Maybe I'll look for a Bixenon kit, anyone know of any good ones?

DLR noise (buzz)

back from the dead!!!
i installed the h4 high/low kit off my 07 fit onto my 2010 fit sport w/nav and even after pulling fuse 15 i get a buzzing noise up by the headlight (still need to track down exactly where its coming from) - has anyone run into this? the noise is only if the headlights are off, as soon as i turn them on the noise goes away.
o i did a search and can't find anyone talking about any type of noise. so i figured i'd post here before making a new thread

??????

The buzzing is coming from your DRL module. Most likely due to your Hi/Low kit. If the module was defective it would cause your DRLs to be out aswell as one of your highbeams.
