Is the 2009 Taffeta White Sport Manual the Unicorn of the Fits?

 

lol it seems like it is. i remember when i was looking around for one i never found one.

 

Apparently I guess. It's either that or people really aren't looking, but instead just asking the dealership (which is useless because they are eager to sell any car to you regardless of what you want).

 

I was actually planning on waiting until spring to get the new Insight.

A couple of things changed my mind about the Insight - the price was going to be higher than originally expected, and the look was not as great as I had hoped.

I had hung around the Honda dealer to see what else was available and test drove an a/t Fit as well as the Civic Hybrid. Not too crazy about either.

I just mentioned to the salesman that I'd like to try the manual Fit (if they ever got one in!). They had 4 Fits on the lot (all a/t) and didn't get many manuals at all.

On a Friday I got a call at work that they'd gotten a manual 09 Fit in. Would i like to drive it? Hell yeah! What color was it? A white Sport. I came in Saturday and drove it. I knew how rare the m/t's were and white was my favorite color so I jumped.

WE HAVE two m/t and three A/T TW 09 FITS on our lot and can't move them .

the real us market unicorn is the TW fit sport with tan (peanut butter) int sold only one year -07- and oh did i mention i gots one!! he he he

 

Mine just arrived in Canada yesterday from Japan. Ill arrange to pick it up end or march!

 

I know the rarest Fit of all is, 2007 TW Sport 5sp black interior. People who have that have a RARE Fit.
I wouldnt doubt the White 5sp's being hard to find in 09 aswell.

 

I had the choice of a silver or white and I took the silver. Both were Sport MT. So no, apparently they are available in Wisconsin...at least they were a few months ago

I too have a TW 5M sport..are they hard to find? after I got mine I stopped looking...

 

I think it's the white combined with the manual transmission that's really rare. I can't remember the statistics but Honda expected to sell 70% of the Fits as Sports and something like 70% as A/T. If white is the Unicorn of Colors then M/T + White = Magical Unicorn FTW

 

then I will rock mine with pride, even though I do now anyhow!

I tried hard to find a sport navi with manual...no luck last Nov.

 

I have a white one with manual transmission and navigation system and I didn't even want white. I asked the dealership to find me a Fit with a manual transmission and a navigation system and this is all they were able to find in a 600 mile radius. I really wanted the storm silver or the blackberry pearl but Honda doesn't allow special orders apparently, so I had to take what was out there.

I wish white was more rare as I might have been able to get the color I really wanted. What IS rare is a manual transmission and navigation system combo.
