Anyone experience the Fit cover?

Just wondering how easy it is to use/ store on a daily basis. I have a lot of cats in my neighborhood and they wreak havoc on paint jobs!!! Is it worth the $$$ or should I go aftermarket?

I wouldnt trust the OEM one. I have the covercraft noah car cover. Got it for around $190. Amazing quality and fitment. 100% waterproof and uv protection. Extremely soft on your paint too. Has pockets for the antenna and mirrors. With practice you can get it on and off in under a minute, its all about technique, takes a couple tries to get used too. At first it would take me about 5 minutes to get it on. I fold the sides on the roof of the car first, fold it one more time till its touching the antenna. That way theres about 2 feet roll going over the entire car, then I roll it towards the back and catch it as it falls of the roof and store it in the hatch. It takes up the entire room of my hatch but im sure with more practice you can get it to take up about half of that. They sell storage bags for it which are a little bigger than a bookbag so im sure they can get that small.

I have the OEM Honda car cover and it works just fine as protection against cats. Mine still looks relatively new after two years of use. I have cats of my own and six more split among the neighbors. No scratches on my paint.

2009 Honda Fit Covercraft Noah Car Cover

Looks like theyre offering 15% off if you order through the phone. Plus they offer free shipping. You wont be dissappointed, ive had noah covers on all my cars and theyve been amazing covers. Check out the reviews on that site.

Do you have any pics that you can post?

I would miss the honda emblem on the OEM cover but....thats not the reason im buying one so I could do without.

GOD DAMN CATS!!!! There is nothing more infuriating than waking up to like 3 cats just using your car as a hangout/ bed!!!!

oem covers are generally good quality, though the cat's nails can go thru the covers.

I used to cover my Integra at my parent's house, where are there are cats, but all they ended up doing was sleeping on it and clawing the cover to shreds.

I'd say find a better solution. Cause the cover isn't going to stop them from jumping on your car.

Thicker means it'll just hold their claws better -- a tactile sensation that will only make them happier. Your car will be one huge scratching post.

A better solution would be to scare them away when they think no one is watching. YouTube - Lucky VS ssscat

Actually, here is the combination that I have used with complete success. The OEM Honda Fit cover is good quality, fairly priced, and resists cat damage as long as the cats are not allowed free reign to do whatever they want, as long as they want. The next thing that you need to spend money on is available from most pet supply catalogs.

It is called the "Scat Mat". It is battery operated, and gives any annoying cat an electrical shock when they step on it. Doesn't kill the cat, but trains it quickly to realize that your car is not a great place to be. I only had to spread my Scat Mat on the hood for two or three days to eliminate cat visits altogether for months at a time. When you start to see evidence of a newcomer who has not yet been educated starting to hang out on the car, get out the Scat Mat again and cats are once again gone for months. They come in at least two sizes, and cost under $50.00 if my memory is correct.
