Canadian GE8 Owners, how much did you pay?

I am well aware that there are a few threads that go over how much people paid for their GE, but the majority of responses are from US residents.
I'm wondering how much did us Canadians north of the border got their fit for?
Especially if you're from the GVA, how much did you pay and where did you purchase yours? Which is the best dealer to go to that are reasonably negotiable?

"Total Vehicle price" $20,840 CDN. 2009, TW, MT Fit Sport...fully loaded

Traded in a VW GTI, remainder was $10,200. I wasn't getting any dealer to budge off of MSRP (I went to three) so my next goal was to get as many freebies thrown in. I narrowed it down to two dealers, Richmond and Surrey Honda (Both owned by the same guy coincidentally). Both also #1 and #2 in Honda Sales in BC supposedly.

Richmond didn't offer as much as Surrey and didn't seem to want to 'play ball' when it came to negotiating like Surrey did. Surrey also had a much bigger stock of 'on the lot fits'. It took me three trips over a month to get the freebies and the trade value I wanted.

Freebies:

-Honda Carpet Floor mats
-Honda rear shelf Cover
-One free dealer oil Change
-Honda wheel locks
-5 year not 3 year road side assistance (Christmas special)

I wanted to purchase the following but didn't want to pay retail so I negotiated a package deal to buy the following (saved 30 - 40% total). Also of note I installed all accessories myself to cut costs.

-Honda center console
-Honda window Visors

I finalized the deal near the end of the month to ensure the car salesman was semi motivated (their sales figures are based on a monthly basis from what I understand).

Here's the car at Surrey the day I picked her up. Hope this helps

My experience is in the GTA, not the GVA But, I will post it up for those who may be in the area. I just bought mine from Waterloo Honda. Great transaction, no admin fees, up front and friendly. No complaints. I got $800 off of MSRP (Sport MT). If I wanted to walk and spend the time playing ball I probably could have got $200 more off the car, but my time is worth more than that Don't know the exact price, but before taxes I was around $19850 I believe. Olympic Honda in Guelph continues to be the worst dealership I have been to (not just Honda, but in general). It is amazing. Cambridge isn't bad, but have a huge admin fee ($250 or so I believe). Halton Honda in Burlington isn't great either, but have heard good things about Oakville (not first hand).

You just need some patience, and your tongue can't be hanging out of your mouth. If it has been a bad month, going in at the end of the month will help. Go in, put in a reasonable offer, if they don't accept tell them you will have to think about it and leave. Play the game until you get a number you are happy with. The free accessories usually come in when you can't get to a number you want and will concede if you get some floor mats etc (markup is 100% on accessories usually, they are usually eager to give you a deal on them).

I took the attitude that it was ridiculous that a "fully loaded", $20,000 car didn't come with things like floor mats and a Rear Cargo shelf. I simply told them this was a big deal for me and would ultimately make or break a deal.

I went from a fully loaded MK4 GTI and I wasn't about to buy something brand new that didn't come with all the 'bells and whistles'. Like I said, three trips over one month and with some stubbornness and patience they ended up compromising more than I did.

for ppl in vancouver, does anyone have any experiences with Kingsway Honda? One of my friend's gf got hers there for ~23000 CDN out the door for a sport AT. That sounds to be too cheap to be true. I'm not sure if that is really what they paid but that's what i was told. If so, that would be an awesome deal.

My friend know a saleman in Kingsway Honda. He tell me everything about this car and most important thing is the price he qoute is very aggressive($1000 goverment rebate and $1000 Honda loyalty). If you really order the FIT, ask him to give you more accessories. I have my CARGO TRAY, ARMREST CONSOLE and ALL WEATHER MATS for free. And you want to buy more accessories, he can help me to get extra 15% off (leather knob, hood edge deflector). I heard some bad stories from other friends too, but my saleman definitey a very nice guy. PM me if you want a hook up.

I got my DX-A manual for dealer net because I work at the factory in Alliston. I also got $2000 off when you pay cash when they were clearing out the 2009's. Then I got 3% back later, again because I work at Honda. We also don't pay PDI. So after all this, I paid 12,985 plus taxes. Sorry, don't mean to sound like I'm bragging.
